Christian Bible Stories For children Sunday SchoolWhen I was young, I used to love to go to Sunday school just because I loved to hear the Christian Bible stories at Sunday school. Quite honestly, even at a young age, I realized the church we went to was full of hypocrites, but that didn’t stop me from learning and enjoying the stories that were presented to me. Today, I don’t often attend church because most of the ones I have encountered are just as bad as the first one, and I certainly don’t think worshipping with a bunch of hypocrites each Sunday is going to save my soul. Memories fill our lives with good and bad thoughts. There are memories that cause us to feel warm and loved and then there are memories that cause us to feel lonely, unloved and resentful. Everyone is faced with dealing with our past. Our past is what shapes and forms the person we become. I have always found it very interesting that some people cannot let go of past hurts and others, sometimes in the same family, cannot even remember that the past hurts occurred. The other interesting thing about memories to me is that we never know what is going to trigger a flashback to another time in our lives. At any rate, there are a lot of great Christian Bible stories out there, and you don’t need to go to church to get them. Not all churches are bad, I understand this completely, but there are many people like me who hang on to their faith, but aren’t interested in joining organized religious churches that make a mockery of what they are supposed to stand for. You can get Christian Bible stories anywhere you look today, and you can get them at a good price too. You can also find coloring books and puzzles that are fashioned after some of your favorite stories. A few weeks ago I was helping with the coffee and donuts after our morning service at church. On my way back to the kitchen area I passed the classrooms where the children were having Sunday school. One of the teachers had several children sitting in a circle around her and was reading Christian Bible stories for Sunday school. This scene took me back to when I was a young girl. I would sit on my grandmother’s lap and she would read Christian Bible stories to me. My grandmother died when I was sixteen years old. I have not thought about her very often in my adult life, but the memory and sensations of my time spent with her surrounded me that Sunday morning. Some of the best Christian Bible stories Sunday school are the ones that teach a lesson. These are the ones that have two stories in one, almost, and they can be applied to God as well as to regular life. Christian Bible stories are often meant to teach a lesson, and perhaps that is why they were included in the Bible to begin with. Not only are you learning history, you are leaning a valuable lesson about what God wants for our world. They have a good lesson even for those who do not believe, and can benefit almost anyone in the quest to live a better life. The best thing about modern Christian Bible stories is that some are now written in a simple language that children can easily follow. I remember some of the Christian Bible stories I heard as a child were so complex in language that I had a hard time following along, as any six-year-old child would. The Christian Bible stories remain the same, but the language is easy to understand, and the stories are easier to follow when they are written with children in mind. You can find these books in almost any bookstore, and also in any bookstore that is affiliated with a church. My husband and I do not have children, so I have not read Christian Bible stories or listened to them in many years. I commented on this to our pastor that morning during coffee. He told me that there are many great books out with Christian Bible stories in them that are geared for teens as well as adults. He told me that he would loan me one of the books. I have started reading the book, which is divided between the old and new testaments, and have found that the words of the bible have a great deal more meaning to me reading them in story form. Just as with the children’s stories, the adult version takes passages from the bible and creates a story that is easier to understand. This particular book also creates the Christian Bible stories for the present day and age, so they are even more applicable to everyday life. Reading the Christian Bible stories has increased my interest in reading the bible. I have always had good intentions of spending more time reading the good book, but I never seem to get around to doing it. The book with adult Christian Bible stories has given me a greater desire to do this. I guess that is the purpose behind having the books on Christian Bible stories in the first place.
